Daniel of St. Thomas Jenifer was born in 1723 in Maryland.
Not much is known about his early years.
As an adult, he owned a large estate near Annapolis.
He supported the Revolution, serving in the Continental Congress and the Maryland state legislature.
Jenifer favored a stronger national government.
Although he did not speak often at the Philadelphia Convention, he generally supported the positions of James Madison.
Jenifer died only three years after the convention.
