Music & Movement Lesson
Can music make the movement?
In this lesson, students will analyze the impact music has on protest movements, and explore the historical significance of music on the Black community. Students will also reflect on music’s impact on the Civil Rights Movement and will create an original protest song incorporating the elements found in established protest songs.
