Seventh-grade civics students presented their Project Citizen portfolios during
 St. Lucie County School district's 2nd Annual Project Citizen Showcase in Ft. Pierce, Florida.Dan McCarty Middle School placed first in the competition. The top six entries will be displayed at the state capitol in Tallahassee. Selected projects will qualify for the state showcase in Orlando.
