In the school's first year of competition, Van Wert High School finished an impressive second place in the Ohio state We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution finals.  Teacher Bob Priest said, "We had a very good day. I was very pleased with our kids. I thought we did just a great job."
Findlay High School placed first in the state competition, earning the right to represent Ohio in the 25th Annual We the People National Finals, April 28-May 1 at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, and in Washington, D.C.
