Scholars Academy won the South Carolina state We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution state competition January 5 at Columbia College.

Wilson High School placed second. Carolina Forest High School finished third, and Wando High School finished fourth.

Scholars Academy now qualifies to compete in the 25th Anniversary We the People National Finals, to be held April 28-30 at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.
