Students participating in Project Citizen may participate in a portfolio or hearing showcase at the school, district, state,
or national level. Evaluators review each portion of the portfolio and hearing using specific criteria.

At the high school level, Project Citizen students may participate in school and local
showcase events. Depending on the state program, high school classes may be eligible
to participate in a state level showcase.

Students at the middle school level may participate in school, district, and state level
showcases. In the past, a portfolio was selected from each state to showcase at the
National Showcase, held in conjunction with National Conference of State Legislatures. |
